Stroll Through Downtown Kelowna

Known as the heart of the city, the Downtown Kelowna neighbourhood is known for its many interesting locations alongside Okanagan Lake. Downtown Kelowna offers pedestrians easy access to the beach from the downtown area via the iconic waterfront boardwalk, which is only a short journey away. The boardwalk connects with the Rotary Marshes wildlife park, where visitors can enjoy the local wildlife.

Home prices in Downtown Kelowna range from $63,000 to more than $3.3 million for luxury condos. The downtown area also offers a whole selection of restaurants that residents can easily get to on foot. Known as a culinary destination, one of the more popular restaurants in the downtown area includes The Train Station Pub, which serves comfort food, craft beer, and the area's famed wine.

Memphis Blues Barbecue House is a favourite waterfront destination. This award-winning restaurant serves a selection of barbecue items, including ribs, BBQ shrimp, and BBQ nachos, among other delicious menu items.

Rutland: One of Kelowna's Most Walkable Neighbourhoods

Considered one of the most walkable neighbourhoods in the city, the Rutland community is located on the far east side of Kelowna. The Rutland area is also known for its affordable housing and ample green spaces. One of the largest neighbourhoods in Kelowna, Rutland, is made up mostly of residential homes with a thriving business community.

Rutland's home prices range from $657,000 for a single-family home to $4.5 million for a home on a large lot. Some Rutland area parks include Ben Lee Park, which has its own water park and outdoor skate park; Rutland Lions Park, an open-aired forest located in the middle of the city; and Rutland Centennial Park, home of the historic Rutland Centennial Hall.

Walk to Everything You Need in the University District

Kelowna's University District area offers the ultimate in off-campus living. Sitting along Academy Way, the University District is close to the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Literally minutes away from Kelowna International Airport, the University District is easily within walking distance of many local amenities.

Located directly to the south of Kelowna's downtown area, the South-Central community was developed in response to concerns about growth within Kelowna's inner-city. South Pandosy: A Walker's Paradise in Kelowna

One of the older neighbourhoods in Kelowna, South Pandosy is within easy walking distance of the shopping district found on nearby Pandosy Street. Just minutes away from the beach, recreational activities, or the downtown Kelowna area, South Pandosy has various residences, including waterfront homes.

Home prices in South Pandosy range from $297,000 to $2.7 million for a larger home. Lower Mission: Walk to Kelowna's Best Wineries

Centrally located, Kelowna's Springfield/Spall neighbourhood is close to just about everything. Its flatness also makes the Springfield/Spall community easy to traverse, making it perfect for anyone who likes to walk. Known as Kelowna's primary commercial corridor, the Springfield/Spall area is within close proximity to a variety of local amenities.
