Residents of Downtown Kelowna have the best of both worlds, with great restaurants and entertainment on one hand and everyday needs on the other. The Kelowna General Hospital, banks, grocery stores and wine shops, clothing stores, pharmacies and provincial services are all close at hand for those living here. The Kelowna International Airport is on Kelowna's outskirts of the community but it's still only 25 minutes away. And there are excellent championship golf courses only half an hour away. In winter, you can be on the slopes at Big White in 45 minutes or less. Plus, in every direction from Downtown Kelowna lies wine country with some nearby wineries and tours just a pleasant bike ride away.

Families living in Downtown Kelowna have their pick of many fine schools, like Bankhead or Glenmore elementary schools, KLO or Dr. Knox middle schools, and Kelowna Secondary School. The University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus is located just 25 minutes east of the Downtown community.
