This well-manicured 18-hole course belies how it was wholly constructed by volunteers and is kept up by the players themselves. Visitors to this remote town enjoy the Challenge Penticton Triathlon, the Okanagan Wine Festival, the annual Peachfest, the Pentastic Jazz Festival, and the Elvis Festival. In short, there is plenty for tourists and residents to enjoy in Penticton year-round.

Part of School District No. 67, Penticton has seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools. Additionally, it has a Catholic School and a French immersion school. On the higher education level, Penticton is home to Okanagan College and Sprott Shaw College. Other Penticton schools include the Okanagan School of Arts and the Okanagan Hockey School.
