Discover What Kelowna Actors Studio has to Offer

Kelowna Actors Studio not only offers a dinner theater, they also offer educational classes. If you are looking to expand your stage presents, Kelowna Actors Studio has a class for you. Acting classes are great when trying to help your child expand their social skills. You can register online for classes, or visit the Kelowna Actors Studio box office.

Those who have attended classes at KAS, have gained a wealth of guidance. Some have even gone on to seeking a career in theater arts.

Some of the classes that are offered include:

  • Theatrical Potpourri – This class is offered as a day camp during the summer, and participants will gain a variety of theater skills. Offerings include games, improve, drama and comedy, scripts, scenes, film, cold readings and auditioning. This class begins on July 6th.
  • Enchantment Troupe – Offered during the summer as a day camp, and begins on July 13th. Students will work on putting together a variety show that includes all their favorite “Enchanted” characters. Productions will include scenes and songs from well known animated movies such as Frozen, Peter Pan, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast.
  • Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark – Summer day camp that will focus on scenes from Mary Pope Osborne’s book the Magic Tree House. Classes will begin on July 20th.

Other classes include Into the Woods Jr, TV and Film: I’m Ready For My Closeup, and Aladdin.

If you wish to catch a show at the Kelowna Actors Studio there is an impressive lineup, which includes Dear Peter, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, All Shook Up, Jekyll and Hyde, Who’s Afraid of Virgina Woolf, and Mary Poppins.

Show’s are offered Wednesday to Sunday, and dinner seating begins at 6:15pm. If you are not engaging in the dinner portion of the show, regular seating begins at 7:15pm and curtains open at 8 pm.
